Time line of Pacific Friend
 

1973 (Showa 48)

• First issue of monthly pictorial magazine "Pacific Friend" was published, with the goal of introducing a multilateral Japan to foreign countries.

1974 (Showa 49)

• As a "Pacific Friend" extra, it issued "Administrative Policy Speech", "Diplomacy Speech", "Public Finance Speech", and "Economic Speech" until 1976.

1990 (Heisei 2)

• "Pacific Friend" issued "Japan ODA" as a separate volume.

1991 (Heisei 3)

• "Pacific Friend" issued "Crisis of Earth" as a separate volume.

1992 (Heisei 4)

• "Pacific Friend" issued "Pollution - it is not direction to development" as a separate volume.

1996 (Heisei 8)

• May edition of "Pacific Friend" format changed from B4 to A4.

2003 (Heisei 15)

• Last issue of "Pacific Friend" was published at April.
• First issued of a completely new quality magazine "Asia-Pacific Perspectives: Japan+" published at May.

2006 (Heisei 18)

• Last issue of "Asia-Pacific Perspectives: Japan+" was published at April.
• First issued of a completely new title magazine "Japan+ Asia-Pacific Perspectives" published at May.

2007 (Heisei 19)

• April 2007 edition of "Japan+ Asia-Pacific Perspective" is the final printed editor, readers still can access the Japan+ online at www.j-plusonline.jp or nettv.gov-online.go.jp.
